DamodarKunda Helicopter Tour
DamodarKunda Helicopter tour takes you to the holy lake DamodarKunda in high Himalayas in Upper Mustang area of Nepal. Damodar is another name of Lord Krishna in Hindu mythology.
DamodarKunda is described in BarahPuran, a hindu holy book. There is a column that describes the importance of holy lake in BarahPuran. Lord Krishna has said that who pays a visit to DamodarKunda and takes a deep-bath, he/she will be free from all kinds of sin they did in this life or previous life. There are three major lakes in common called the DamodarKunda. Brahma Kunda, RudraKunda and AnantaKunda are the name of the three lakes in Damodarkunda area which are located at the altitude of 22,000 ft. in the remote Himalayan district of Mustang in western Nepal.
Many Hindu devotes visits this holy lake every year. A special permit is requiring for the DamodarKunda visit. Normally Helicopter tour of DamodarKunda takes about around one and half hour from Kathmandu and one hour from Pokhara .

Special entry permit of US$ 500 per person is necessary to visit DamodarKunda
Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) entry permits USD 30 per person
For Helicopter flight permit, both permits of all travelers are necessary and need at least a week
A person from Nepal Goverment (policeman) will fly from Jomsom to DamodarKunda
