Personalized adventures
This is the trek along unknown gentle trails in the Everest foothill forests for spectacular mountain views. Reach a 4,046m peak with no steep climbs. This is one of the best offbeat short treks in Nepal with clear views of Everest. It is also offbeat, so is very interesting. Many say that the view of Mount Everest from Pikey Peak is one of the best in Nepal. That is a bold statement, but Sir Edmund Hillary himself claimed it to be his favorite, and we are inclined to agree. Pikey Peak trek is a newly opened trekking destination in the Solu (Lower Solukhumbhu) Region. Pikey Peak is one of the tallest “Hills” in the Solukhumbu region. The name Pikey is derived from the name of a Sherpa Clan deity. During the month of July, the locals hold different celebrations to worship their clan god. This peak offers a majestic view of the Everest Himalayan Range. The trail passes through beautiful settlements and you can visit the ancient Buddhist Monastery of ThuptenChoeling and enjoy the unique Sherpa culture. During the festival season in August, cleansing rituals at the sacred lakes performed with several important Shamans.
The Pikey Danda (hill in Nepali) is most popular for its sunrise and sunset views and one can enjoy the sight of seven 8,000 metres peaks; Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Everest, Lhotse, Manaslu, Annapurna and Shishapangma in Tibet and numerous other peaks like GauriShanker, Lhotseshar, Nuptse, AmaDablam, Mera and Thamserku. The trek is organizing in teahouses Base / Camping Too.
